Vicki Bovee

Vicki Bovee, M.S., R.D., L.D.

Vicki Bovee, M.S., R.D., L.D., is a registered dietitian with over 25 years experience in weight loss, weight management, and specializing in bariatric nutrition since 2003. Over the years Vicki has worked with thousands of patients in clinical, research, and business settings to help them manage their weight through lifestyle changes.  Prior to combining talents with Chef Dave Fouts, Vicki was the clinical dietitian at Western Bariatric Institute, Reno, Nevada. She also held a faculty position in the University of Nevada School of Medicine.

At this time, Vicki works with weight loss surgery patients before and after surgery conducting classes and individual counseling sessions and developing patient education materials. She is the author of numerous articles and several book chapters emphasizing healthy eating in relation to weight management and weight loss surgery. Along with Chef Dave Fouts, Vicki has written “Ditch Your Diet in 30 Days” and weight loss surgery preoperative and postoperative recipes booklets. 

Vicki is a member of the American Dietetic Association, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and Obesity Action Coalition. She currently serves on the advisory board for Obesity Action Coalition and WLS Lifestyles publications. Vicki received her master’s degree in nutrition from Montana State University and her bachelor of science degree in home economics from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. She lives in West Vancouver, British Columbia with her husband, Bill.
