Chef Dave and I first had Swiss oatmeal while attending a conference. I admit that eating cold oatmeal was new to me. It was so good we went back the second morning and had it for breakfast again. Between the two of us, we broke down the ingredients and tested it until we got it right. One of the things I love about this recipe is that you mix up some of the ingredients the night before so in the morning you just need to stir in a few more ingredients and it's ready to eat. I like blueberries but you could substitute your favorite berry, apples, or peaches. The oatmeal and milk mixture will keep in the refrigerator a couple of days. The second day you can try it with a different fruit.   Vicki
