Pork and Sauerkraut Soup

This is a Polish recipe that I first tasted when I was in my twenties.  The stock is created by simmering the pork with the onions and spices.  Adding the sauerkraut completes this dish and is an essential ingredient.  I also like to serve over mashed potatoes as well.  This soup freezes well.  Chef Dave
