My kids, like most kids, loved Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and I made it weekly for them. As my kids grew up, I quit buying K.D. It has been years since I looked at it on the market shelf, but since a little grandson was coming for a visit, I thought I better have a box on hand. Oh my, I had no idea there were so many kinds of Kraft Dinner to choose from.

Let’s Eat More Like School Lunch

I admit it sounds crazy. I am asking you to eat more like the lunches that your kids are served. I am not asking you to eat what the schools serve now, but what they will be serving next school year.


New USDA nutrition standards for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) were released January 25 and are to be implemented July 1, 2012. This will be no easy task.

Happy Meals are a changin’

Happy Meals are a changin’

Well, finally. Due to a successful public campaign to improve Happy Meals McDonald's has announced it will make changes to improve the nutritional quality of the meal, however it will continue to include the junky toy. This isn't going to happen next week. McDonald's expects to have it available in all U.S. restaurants in about nine months.
